AGUA DE KEFIR is a dairy-free water kefir. With origins dating back to the 1800’s, water kefir has been used for centuries for natural hydration and physical replenishment. Considered a “younger sister” to kombucha, water kefir is crafted with kefir crystals that grow on the pads of the prickly pear cactus. These crystals are used to culture a sweetened base over the course of a week to create a lightly sparkling, refreshing tonic.


Kefir crystals are beneficial living microorganisms that are used to culture a fermented base called water kefir. Discovered growing on the pads of the prickly pear cactus, these crystals use carbohydrates as an energy source to reproduce and thrive. They are 100% vegan, raw and contain probiotics as well as postbiotics that are different than what is found in other fermented foods like Kombucha and apple cider vinegar.
